Brief Description:  Balance Arm Rib Layout

Plan today was to layout and assemble the balance arms to the mating ribs. However, after reviewing drawing 6W12 and comparing to the 6-ZU-4 updgrade assembly guide I noticed a few discrepancies.

The middle and rear hole locations are measured from the front hole on the drawing but are referenced from the front flange in the guide. Also, the angle of the arm to the front rib flange is specified at 94 degrees on the drawing while the guide calls out 97 degrees. Normally the drawing should take precedence but when laying out the holes per the drawing the spacing did not look like the drawing or the guide, which also made the angle suspect. So, I sent off an email to Caleb requesting clarification.

Also noted the 42mm distace to the balance arm is shown measured to the edge of the arm, not the centerline. The guide indicates to use this measurement as the bolt hole location which would be on the centerline of the arm.

The rest of today's shop time was spent "evolving" the shop which involve moving equipment, reorganizing and cleaning.

Also picked up new drill bits at Home Depot: 3/32" (2 pack) and 5/32"
