Brief Description: Drilled Left Aileron Skin and Ribs
Another beautiful Fall day here in mid-Michigan with sunny sky and temps in the upper 60's. Did about an hours work on the aileron before going to an apple orchard with wife and daughters. Took a pontoon ride when we returned then got back in the shop right at sunset.
Center punched holes marked on 10/10. Drilled holes in skin to 3/32" using oak plank as a backer Created a 5mm spacer from the end of a 2x6 for the inboard rib Marked center line on all ribs Match drilled ribs Tip rib - like on the right aileron - was a bit of a challege to locate and hold but it came out nice
