Brief Description:  Edge Roller and Bend Brake Aid

Rather than borrow or purchase an edge roller I decided to fabricate one for use the next time outside-edge roll over is needed. I used a 1" thick cross section of hardwood covered with the same aluminum used to make my plans binder. Three different sized screen door rollers were purchased from Ace Hardware with attachment provisions for each set drilled into the handle. The medium sized rollers were spaced just right but the large sized ones were a little too tight to allow a piece of 0.020" to pass through. Will have to sand them down just a bit. Did not yet fit the small rollers.

Also purchased a strip of 1/8" thick x 3" wide x 10' long steel to use as a bend aid. This will fill the gap between the bend plate and 1/8" radius nose on top plate forcing tighter bends with less "ramp" leading to the bend. Will cut off a 2' length to use on smaller parts then use the 8' length for spars and other long parts. Acute bends (<90 degrees) will require additional push-over thickness above the bend nose. This aid will be made from wood with a rounded edge.
