Cleaned the other case half of block T0826RD using same method as 1st. Finishing touches on oil passages and bolt holes made with pipe cleaners. Tough-to-remove gaskets and sealants removed with a Scotch-Brite wheel and Dremel flapwheel.
Rusted studs were cleaned with file, wire wheel, 3M pad and Loctite naval jelly.
With no media blasting, dip tanks or power washer I'm sure these methods took much longer than seems reasonable but I enjoyed the process of gradually watching the case take on a shiny new life.
