Brief Description: Left side Aileronn Hinges Fitted
Over the weekend, match drilled lower skin to wing and assembled and match drilled the aileron hinges and brackets.Post the usual of refitting all aileron brace and assembly back to the wing for a final quality control check, I decided to set up and match the flap brace as well.
A late finish on Saturday with all deburring and dimpling,and countersinking,freed up a Sunday priming session.Scotchbrite and PREKOTE fever had set in once again, all components cleaned and primed by Sunday arvo
Monday afternoon saw the components dried and clecoed to the rear spar. Tuesday afternoon a burst of energy on my part I riveted the hinges to the spar and also the aileron brace positioned and riveted. Ther flap brace was added to the equation, and riveted to the spar only,as the flap hinge was not yet primed or completed at this stage.
