Brief Description: Left Aileron Complete! Beginning Right Aileron
Today, I began by riveting leading and aft portions of the aileron to the spar using solid rivets. I then riveted the leading ribs to the spar and then riveted the rear ribs to the spar. I then riveted the fore and aft skins to the ribs. I then riveted the bottom portion of the fore and aft skins to the spar using blind rivets. Finally, I attached the brackets to the spar using AN3 bolts.
After completing the left aileron, I began constructing the right aileron. I clecoed the assembly together and match drilled all holes. I then fabricated the counterweight from galvonized steel and match drilled the holes. I then disassembled the assembly and began deburring holes. I deburred all holes on the stiffeners and dimpled the stiffeners.
