Brief Description:  Fwd Spar Attach angle

Yet another head scratching day. Yesterday I thought all I had to do was use the right F-863 front spar attach angle on the left side and live with the inverted attach tab dimensions. Today I match drilled the attach tabs with the fuselage on the left side and the holes were off a bit. I thought about filling the hole and re-drilling the hole, but decided to junk it and order some more angle. I searched the internet and found a guy that had kind of the same problem, but he had to file off enough of the top of the attach angle to get the wing faring on. When he did that, he lost his edge clearance on the top hole and had to drill a hole between the holes where metal was removed. In light of that info, when I made a new attach angle for the right side, I didn’t remove the metal between the attach holes. Once it was attached to the fuselage, there was a little space between the F-863 and T-405, so I used some of the skin from the flaps I trimmed and made two shims to take up that gap. I then drilled the hole through the attach angle and the tank and reamed to final size. I had to file the top of the F-863, but I think I won't compromise the minimum edge distance.
