I aligned the gear using two four foot long aluminum angles clamped to the wheel attach end of the landing gear. I positioned the gear so the measurements between the forward and rear ends of the angles were the same. Then I adjusted the gear so measurements from the tail wheel to the left and right main gear were the same while maintaining equal measurements between the angle on the gear. I filed away some of the bottom skin to allow for the outboard attach bracket to fit. I drilled holes in the skin to allow access to the ΒΌ holes in the outboard wear plate ends.
