Tonight I finished riveting the left flap. I drove the rivets where the top skin attaches to the flap spar and I squeezed the rivets where the bottom skin and the flap hinge attached to the spar. When all was said and done, I put the flap on a (somewhat) flat table and it appears as though there might be a twist in the flap as much as 1/8" to 1/4" over the length of the flap. Sheesh! I have no idea if this will be a fatal flaw or not. I will call Vans tomorrow to get their verdict. I have not been real pleased with the plans for the flaps. They tell you to build it straight, but they do not tell you how to accomplish that. I tried to keep everything lined up straight in the V jig by sight, but that may not have been enough. We'll see.
