As I suspected, the learning curve is not quite as steep for the remaining aileron. It clecoed together without much protest. I then drilled out all of the holes, including the ones in the leading edge into the counterbalance (galvanized water pipe). I also sligltly bent the aft edges of the leading edge skin so that they will rivet well to the trailing edge skin without any gaps. Following the sequence set out in the plans works well. I am getting very excited about going to Oshkosh for Airventure 2006. I leave Sunday morning. We have rented a house very close to the field and a lot of clients/friends will stay there with me. I will get to see lots of RVs and get some more ideas on good construction techniques. I will also get to see the latest in cockpit technology. About this time next year, I should be hip deep in cockpit construction.
