Brief Description:  Drilled the left aileron

It is great to get back on the project, although I only have two weeks until I take off for Oshkosh. I clecoed and drilled out the left aileron. It all goes together is a certain sequence, but it is not that difficult. Following a tip from George Orndorf, I slightly bent the aft edges of the leading edge skin, because it fits over the trailing edge skin. By bending the edge where it goes over the trailing edge skin, you will have a tight fit once it is all riveted together. I also drilled out the galvanized steel water pipe that Vans uses for an aileron counterweight. A new, sharp drill bit made the process easier. Then, I countersunk the holes in the counterweight with a steel countersink in the drill press. Finally, I deburred all of the holes. Next, I will finish the edges, scuff the surfaces for priming and then dimple the skins and skeleton for riveting.
