Brief Description: Prep stiffeners and inside of aileron skins
It was tedious work today. First, I sanded and hit the edges of all 32 aileron stiffeners with the scotch brite wheel. Then, I deburred all of the stiffeners and the aileron skins. In order to debur the stiffeners, I devised a little process of using clamps to hold the deburring tool down (with the switch on) so that I could simply press the stiffeners into the bit to debur the holes. It worked well. Then, I scuffed the stiffeners and the inside of the aileron skins. I learned that it is good to scuff surfaces before dimpling them because it becomes impossible to scuff inside each dimple once they are pressed into the metal. Finally, I used the pneumatic squeezer to dimple all of the aileron stiffeners. I did not have time to dimple the skins because it got late. I will dimple them later with the C-frame dimpler.
