Brief Description:  Installed fuel tank on right wing

The right fuel tank went onto the right wing pretty much as the left one, except for one thing. I tightened all of the z bracket bolts down and started to screw in the no. 8 screws when I noticed that there were no nutplates on the strip that holds the leading edge to the fuel tank. DOH! I had to remove the tank and rivet the nutplates onto the strip. Then, the tank went on without much fanfare. One small problem, the fuel tank skins slightly overlap the leading edge skins. I think this will straighten itself out when I take the tank off again and reinstall it. Next time, I will install the skin screws first so that the skins line up perfectly and only then will I bolt in the z brackets. That should do the trick. One final note, I found that tightening the bolts is fairly easy if you use a nut driver bit with a power screw driver. That allows you to put pressure on the bolt while you are trying to engage the nutplates in the z brackets. If you try to finger tighten the bolts, they will never go in. A little pressure with the nut driver/power screw driver combination works like a charm. Next, I will start to rivet on the top wing skins. For that, I will need a riveting assistant.
