Brief Description: Fitted flap actuators through the floorboards
Tonight I began screwing in the floorboards and then fit the flap assembly to the wing and fuselage to determine if the flap actuator rods had any interference with the floorboards. It took a little nibbling at the floorboards for the actuators to fit properly throughout the whole range from flaps fully retracted to flaps fully deployed. Screwing down the floorboards proved to be a little problematic. The gillion nutplates I set for the floorboards are quite stiff and it takes a lot of effort to screw in the screws. The heads came off of two of the screws (so far). Next, I will soldier on and screw in the rest of the screws to make sure everything fits. Then, I will unscrew everything and fix the problem areas. I will also run a tap through all of the nutplates so that next time will not be such a pain.
