Brief Description: More nutplate installation for floorboards
Back on the project tonight after too much time off. I had to go to Boston this week and my whole life seems to have been thrown off. Tonight I got back on the tedious task of installing nutplates for the floorboards. These little boogers are a real challenge at times. I had to install several single leg nutplates (as opposed to two leg nutplates) and I could not use the nutplate drilling jig. I therefore had to use the single leg nutplates themselves as a little drilling jig. I ended up using almost every tool in the box to make it work. Two of the most useful tools were the angle drilling adapter and the 12 inch long #40 drill bit. The 12 inch bit is flexible enough that you can literally drill around a corner to get to a particularly hidden spot. I am almost finished with this task.
