Brief Description:  Fitted left flap fairing

Tonight I fitted and drilled the left flap fairing to the fuselage. I had Vicki hold the fairing in place while I drilled the first holes from the inside of the fuselage. I then deburred and dimpled all of the holes. The fairing does not get riveted just yet. First, I have to take the wings off and then fit the step. Before closing the shop, I started fitting the right flap to the wing. First, I buzzed off three of the eyes in the hinge assembly so that I can fit the hinge pins from the middle of the hinge. Next, I cut the hinge pins. Finally, I started trimming the top skin of the right flap so that it will fit snugly against the fuselage. Now that I somewhat know how all of this goes together, the right flap is much easier than the left.
