Today was memorial day. I had to see a client in the morning, but then I returned home and dove into the shop. First, I fit the seatback weldment and bolted it into place. Then, I clecoed the side rails on and was able to squeeze most of the rivets with the manual rivet squeezer. Mark showed up from school in the nick of time and he shot the remaining rivets while I bucked them. The rivets behind the side plates to which the seatback weldment are bolted were a real bear. I had to lay down in the fuselage on my back to buck the rivets while Mark shot them. In the end, we were pleased with the result. I then placed the windshield bow weldment on the longerons to check the fit. Like many others (builders with internet sites) I found that the bow is about 3/16" too narrow and I will have to bend the windshiled bow outward to make it fit right. That will be a real adventure.
