Today I had a visit from Doug Gardner, a RV-8A builder from Florida. I met him at the RV flyin in Lakeland last winter. He has a beautiful completed 8A. He was traveling through Atlanta on business and we met for lunch. Then, Doug paid a visit to Tranquility Base to see Miss Vick (the plane, not the wife). He said that I was less than half way on the fuselage, which was a little dispiriting, but it was good to visit with him. Tonight, I finished drilling out the floorboard support angles that were installed .060" too high and I fabricated new angles that were at the right hight. I also discovered that three other support angles were made out of .125" angle instead of .063" angle, so I had to fabricate those support angles over also. I have to learn to read the plans more carefully. At least now I have it right.
