Brief Description:  Bob and Steve's big adventure

I did not do any work on the plane today, but I did have a big adventure with my good friend, Bob Zahner, a fellow pilot, home builder (airplanes, that is) and motorcyclist. We strapped on two Honda 750 Nighthawks and hit the back roads east of Atlanta, traveling about 180 miles in a triangle that took us through Madison, Athens and Jefferson, GA. The country roads were beautiful and the early summer weather was stunning. Half way through the ride, we stopped for lunch at the 5 Star Cafe in downtown Athens (the home of University of Georgia). On the way back, we stopped at the airport in Winder to see Jamie Painter's RV-7A. He is in the final stages of completion and his plane looks great. We did not catch Jamie there, but we took the opportunity to grab some bench time and swig cokes while watching the planes go by. What a great day!
