Brief Description:  Road trip to help Jamie Painter install his wings

Jamie Painter, who is in the last stages of building his RV-7A, called and asked for help transporting his wings to the Winder airport so that they could be installed on his fuselage. Sam Beale and I took my trailer to Jamie's home, loaded the wings and then took off for the Winder airport. It was a beautiful evening and we arrived at the airport to find it deserted. Jamie got the hanger open and we hauled the wings out of the trailer and put them on some couch cushions next to the plane. Over the next hour or so, we pushed, shoved and cajoled the wings into position while Jamie pounded the wing bolts in as he sat in the fuselage. Once the wings were on (hopefully for the last time) we all went out to dinner at a restaurant called (wait for it) Wild Wings. I am hopeful that within the next year or so that it will be me putting the wings on Miss Vick for the last time.
