Brief Description:  Installed the forward bottom skin

After a considerable lay off while I attended the Sun-N-Fun flyin, I finally got back to work tonight. My next task was to install the forward bottom skin onto the fuselage skeleton. This skin is a little tricky since several of the rivets are to be installed with the flush head on the inside of the fuselage, instead of the outside. In addition, the junction between the bottom skin and the firewall has to be sealed with proseal so that oil and engine fumes do not make their way into the cockpit. I began by mixing the proseal and slathering it onto the firewall reinforcing angle which is to hold the bottom skin. I then clecoed everything together and riveted the skins to the side longerons. I did not rivet the skin to the firewall angle yet because most of those rivets are to be left open until the front ramp is installed. So, I decided to just leave that whole intersection clecoed together (with proseal) until I rivetet it later. The side rivets were squeezed with the pneumatic squeezer. Finally, I clecoed on the middle bottom skins. Once I get a riveting partner, I can then finish those skins.
