Tonight, Sam Beale came over and helped me engineer a solution to the misplaced nutplate on the aft center section flange. Vans told us that we had to locate the nutplate exactly as per the plans or the seat rib would not fit later. So, we sucked it up and drilled the new nutplates, even though they were very close to the old nutplate holes. To keep the flange from cracking later (because of insufficient edge distance from hole to hole) we filed everything very smooth and then riveted a doubler plate behind the flange. It does not look the greatest, but it is now structurally sound. Then, we primed the bits to be bolted to the center section and bolted everything together. Looks great.
