I spent some time cleaning up the shop and vacuuming all of the sawdust created when I built the fuselage jig. Then, I took out the plans to start building the fuselage. We start with the stainless steel firewall. It is a prepunched thing of beauty. Then, I clecoed on all of the aluminum angle stiffeners/reinforcement angles as well as the steel weldments which act as doubler/backing plates for the engine mounts and anchors for the fuselage stringers. That is all I accomplished because I had to knock off to go pickup my oldest son Drew from the airport. He is visiting for the weekend from lawschool in Virginia.
