Brief Description:  Trim tab construction

I could not work on the plane this weekend because we had a family reunion at Dad and Mom's hobby farm in Hartwell, GA to celebrate Dad's 75th birthday. All of the kids and most of the grandkids were there. We had great weather and a wonderful time. I could not help but notice that the front pasture is 800' long and would probably be long enough for a RV runway.Tonight I worked on the trim tab. I bent the ends without any real trouble then drilled the spar. Fitting the hinge to the trim tab gave me some pause because I was not sure exactly how to fit and drill it. I finally figured out that I could fit the hinge to the trim tab by folding one end up and fitting it flush against the leading edge of the spar. Then I could clamp the hinge in and it had the right edge distance from the attachment holes in the top of the spar. I then disassembled , deburred and edge finished the trim tab. I will prime the pieces tomorrow.
