Brief Description: Back riveted rudder stiffeners to skin.
Today I tried back riveting for the first time. I got the hang of it pretty quickly. The skins look great after back riveting. They do not get scarred and banged up like they do with reguar riveting. I also built the trailing edge squeezer device out of 2X8s and some old door hinges I had in the basement. I started the squeezine process. It is a little difficult and I could not get it squeezed (squoze?) down enough to be right. I checked the web site by Shannon and Kandi Spangler (they are a few weeks ahead of me) and they said squeezing the last little bit with seaming pliers will do the trick. I'll try that tomorrow.
