Brief Description:  Riveted HS skeleton, reprimed parts

I found out that the left side HS skeleton pieces were not primed very well. That’s what I get for priming them under the deck at night with the water dripping (from the rain hours before) on the parts. I had to buff out some blisters and re-prime. I then riveted parts of the skeleton together with the pneumatic rivet squeezer. It was harder than I thought it would be. I had to drill out about 6 of the rivets because I did not have the set squarely on the manufactured head when I pulled the trigger, resulting in a crescent shaped “smiley” on the rivet head. Slowly but surely I am getting better. I then started to rivet the middle nose rib to the top skin with solid flush rivets. Not great. I had to drill out several and redo them. One rivet is a mess so I had to order the “oops” rivets from Vans. I’ll replace that stinker when I get them in the mail. I had to stop when I got to the forward most rivet because I need someone to shoot the rivet gun while I buck it from the back while holding pressure on the rib to keep it tight to the leading edge. On top of everything, I shot a #30 hole in my left thumb and bled profusely. Time to call it a night.
