Brief Description:  Finished aileron pushrods and installed some wing

Now that the wings are off, I can accomplish several necessary tasks. First, I pulled out the aileron pushrods, tightened the jam nuts (which fix the position of the rod end bearings which hold the bolts) and affix torque seal on the nuts. Torque seal is a liquid plastic that you put on nuts that have been torqued down. It lets you know that you have tightened that nut for the last time. In addition, if the nut comes loose, the plastic strand will be broken, immediately giving you the indication that the nut is no longer torqued.

Next, I installed most of the nutplates in the wing root which will hold the screws that attach the wing root fairings. We all know how fun that is. This time, I ran a tap through all of the nutplates once they were installed to avoid having screws strip and snap because the nutplates are so tight. Even after running the tap through the nutplates, they still have plenty of hold for the screws.
