Brief Description:  Finished aileron pushrods and installed right one

This was the first Saturday in a while that I got to work most of the day. I started by priming the aileron push rods and assembling them. I had previously fit the cone shaped ends into the push rod tubes and drilled them, but they were an extremely tight fit after priming. I finally found that the trick is to lube the ends (with the rod end fittings) before fitting them into the tubes. I finally got them all in and fastened them with pull rivets. I then fit the right aileron push rod in through the rib lightening holes from the wing tip. After some fiddling, I bolted the push rod to the aileron drive and to the control stick in the fuselage. It fit perfectly. Next, there was a real problem with the left aileron push rod because the left wing tip was within one foot of the wall shelves, leaving no room to feed it through the wing tip to where it needed to go. So, I called in the cavalry. Sam Beale came over, with his wife and two beautiful granddaughters in tow. Then, Sam, Vicki and I scootched the ship over about three feet to the right, snaked in the left aileron push rod, and scootched the plane back to where it started. It worked out great.
