Brief Description:  Fabricated the left wing root fairing

Man, it was great to be back in the shop actually drilling and band sawing aluminum! It was too cold outside to prime the aileron torque tubes (my next step) so I pushed a little ahead in the plans to work on the wing root fairings. There are two fairings; a forward fairing that wraps around the leading edge and a rear fairing that is only about 2 feet long. I had to bend a "joggle" in the aft fairing with the seaming pliers. It turned out to be a piece of cake. After drilling the fairings to the left wing, I marked the fairing 3/16" from the fuselage and then cut out the required gap on the band saw. I then finished up on the belt sander. I won't be able to work on the ship this weekend because Vicki and I are going to Milwaukee (yes, I know it is January) to see the wedding of a friend's son. I have never been to Wisconsin in the winter. It should be an adventure.
