Brief Description:  Wing rib straightening, take one

I spent most of the night at the church, working in the kitchen for the Board of Stewards dinner. I was dog tired when I got home, but I decided to try straightening a few wing ribs. I straightened 5 ribs in front of the tv. It is not too bad at all. First, I used the hand seamer to bend all of the flanges 90 degrees to the web. Then, I used the fluting pliers to put flutes in the flanges to straighten the ribs longitudinaly (along the chord line).I try to take pride in each rib I straighten, knowing that it is going in my wing and that it will be strong and true. One day, on a long cross country, I will remember this and have faith in each rib. There are 54 ribs. Tonight I straightened 5 of them. I put a check on each one to indicate it is ready to be installed on the spars and be match drilled with the skin. 49 more to go.
