Brief Description: More drilling and some fabrication
I bought a #27 drill bit at Handy Hardware and drilled out the #6 screw holes in the spar flange for the inspection plates. I then deburred the #6 and the #8 screw holes in the spar flange. I hope the #6 and #8 countersinks come soon so I can finish these holes and install the platenuts in the spar.I went a little ahead in the plans and started fabricating the tiedown anchor and the spacers. While drilling the 1" holes for the spacers, the metal got hot and I burned the tip of a finger. Oo that hurts! I will need to borrow a tap and die set to cut the threads for the tiedown rings in the tiedown anchor.
