Brief Description:  Riveted rudder skin to skeleton

After a frustrating day with the rudder skeleton, I continued my hard time with the rudder skin. I had to use two pull rivets on the skin. At one point, I used a hatched head to buck some particularly tight rivets.I then rolled the leading edge with the pipe, as per the instructions. That was also tough. I rolled as hard as I could while the rudder creaked like a submarine going through crush depth. It turned out fine, however. and I finished the leading edge with pull rivets.I also installed the rod end bearings for the rudder hinges and ended up boogering their races with the pin punch I used to turn them. Thankfully, I had more of the same rod end bearings from the old RV-6 tail kit I bought from some guy over 5 years ago (for $200). The spare parts came in handy. I then fabricated a rod end bearing installation tool from instructions off of Sam Buchanan's web site. Worked like a charm.
