Brief Description:  Miscellaneous belly work

Tonight was abreviated in the shop because we had company for dinner. Afterward, Vicki helped out in the shop by setting some belly rivets that need to be finished before the final belly skin is installed. She then helped me torque the four bolts on each side of the belly just behind the firewall. The heads of these bolts will be unreachable after the belly skin is riveted on, so I used some bolts with drilled heads that I had in the shop and then I safety wired them together to help prevent them from loosening. This safety wire is not called out in the plans, but it certainly could not hurt. I first learned to safety wire when an A&P mechanic showed me how on some helicopters when I was taking helicopter training. I was pretty rusty. Hopefully, my safety wiring skills will improve as I finish this plane.
