Today was Saturday, but I still had to work. Paperwork had piled up on me at work so I had to go in today to try to catch up. I will take tomorow off and will work on Monday (Memorial Day) to try to finish up my paperwork deficit. Tonight I finished fitting my rudder cable fairings. These items are not furnished with the kit. The stock provision is for the rudder cables to simply exit the aft part of the fuselage through two eliptical slits. It works, but it is sort of ugly. Most people buy rudder cable fairings from Avery Tools and then just rivet them to the outside of the fuselage. Although that looks better than stock, it still looks a little rough to me. Instead, I fit the rudder cable fairings from the inside of the fuselage by cutting down the fairing some and then enlarging the slit in the side of the fuselage so that the fairing will poke through from the inside of the fuselage. After filing and fitting, and filing and fitting some more, I got the openings just right. I then glued the fairings to the inside of the fuselage with proseal. It looks pretty decent.
