I had a brutal day in court. Ten hours of a nasty custody battle, complete with alcohol abuse, child abuse, hidden assets and one guy who felt it was OK to just remove $200K from a bank account so that the wife could not reach it. I came home exhausted, but dragged myself down into the basement shop (Tranquility Base) for some construction. I tuned in some classical music on the radio, grabbed a handful of aluminum angle and started fabricating the brackets and angles needed to affix the tail surfaces to the fuselage. They look pretty good. Next, I will drill them to the fuselage, along with a large plate designed to lock the aft fuselage so that it is square and level with the rest of the fuselage.
They don't look like much, but these angles took about 2 hours to fabricate
