Brief Description:  Fuselage skin prep. The saga continues

Normally, the deburring, dimpling, scuffing and priming routine is pretty boring, but tonight was not so bad. I began by finishing the dimpling work on the forward side skins. Then, I took the soldering iron (with the tip filed down so as not to scratch the skin) and I melted the blue plastic where the overlaping skins will meet. This will allow me to peel away the blue plastic on the bottom skin where another skin will overlap it. This will act as a natural mask when I prime that part of the bottom skin where another skin will overlap it. That way, if any water works its way between the skins, it will not corrode the aluminum. I finished up by deburrnin and smoothing the forward bottom skin. About this time, the radio started playing Beethoven's 9th symphony chorale, one of my favorites. It was invigorating and inspiring, just when I needed it.
