Brief Description:  Drilled the aft bottom skin to the fuselage

Tonight Sam Beale came over to help with the bottom skins. It was a good thing he came, because it turned out that we needed a team of two to accurately drill the skins to the fuselage. First, we finished drilling the middle bottom skins to the skeleton. I parked myself inside the upside down fuselage and moved ribs and bulkheads while Sam would drill from the top. Sam would tell me to move a bulkhead forward or aft until he saw the red line we had drawn down the middle of the flange. Once the red line was centered, he would shoot the hole and insert a cleco. After the middle bottom skins were all drilled and clecoed, we moved to the aft bottom skin. It is a big, one piece skin with no holes down the center line. In order to line up this skin, we stretched a line down the centerline of the fuselage and marked the centerline of the bottom skin. Then, we lined up the bottom skin right under the string centerline. The skin was located fore and aft by lining up a prepunched hole. Going back under the fuselage, I moved the bulkheads until Sam saw the red center lines on the bulkhead flanges, and then he would drill the hole. We drilled the whole skin to the bulkheads, but we will drill the skin to the longerons later.
