Brief Description:  More fuselage skeleton work

After a great Christmas with the family, I took an extra day off and worked on the airplane. After just a little more longeron tweaking, I prepared the center section for installation in the jib by clamping in some wooden spacers in the upper portion of the center section bulkhead (I have already placed some wooden spacers in the lower section, where the wing spars will go. Then, I spent some time getting the center section bulkhead placed into the jig. It took a while to line it up and clamp down the longerons, as per the plans, but it all lined up in the end. Then, I fit two thick doublers on the sides of the center section bulkhead and held them in with three keeper rivets. These will hold the doubler in place when the side skins are drilled on later. Next, I fit the floor ribs between the center section bulkhead and the next bulkhead just aft (the back end of the cockpit). Finally, I fabricated the cargo floor ribs and drilled them between the rear cockpit bulkhead and the bulkhead just aft of that one. It really is starting to take an upside down fuselage kind of shape. It is getting exciting.
