Using a scrap sheet of 3/4 inch plywood, I cut a support structure to surround the c-frame dimple die. I cut the sheet in half and then glued the two halves together. I then cut out a slot for the foot of the c-frame dimpler. It will fit around the dimpler. I will put the plastic grass door mats around it to support the last 7/8ths of an inch of depth and to prevent scratching. It should be easier to shake out aluminum shards from the door mat than from carpet.
