Brief Description:  Hung the left flap (take 3)

As you may recall, I first hung the left flap before getting all of the spacers and washers in the aileron hinges, resulting in a botched effort. My second attempt at hanging the left flap (with a new hinge half) was much better. However, once I riveted on the bottom skin, I saw that the flap brace (to which I was to rivet on the flap hinge) had considerable give in it, resulting in (you guessed it) another botched attempt to make the flap fit. Now older and wiser, tonight I fit the flap to the flap brace which is not lined up with the bottom wing skin. It was a tight fit, but it worked. The alignment is much better than the first two attempts. It only cost me another hinge (which I have ordered from Vans). Last, I riveted on the nutplates for the inspection covers and I drilled, deburred and dimpled the inspection covers themselves to receive #8 screws. The only thing left to do is to glue in the pvc electrical wire conduit and to begin working to finish the right wing.
