Brief Description:  Back from Sun-N-Fun

I spent all last week at the Sun-N-Fun flyin in Lakeland, Florida. As always, it was a great experience. I had my friends, Jim Anderson and Jim Carter with me, and we had a blast. We took a biplane ride in a New Standard 4 passenger biplane. I also saw dozens of RVs, including scores of RV-8s and even several RV-8As. I spoke with many builders and got some great ideas for construction. Of course, I toured the vendor hangers and saw all the latest products. My two purchases of the show were a keyless drill chuck and a stick grip for the front cockpit joystick. Way cool. On Friday evening we attended the Vans Builder and Pilot Banquet. There, I made a presentation of my check and order form for my fuselage kit. "That's one small check for Van. . . and one giant heap of aluminum on my door step in a few months." I could not resist. Jim Carter and I drove home on Sunday (Jim Anderson flew back in his Cutlass, RG). We were tired, but exhilirated. I can't wait to get back on the project.
