Brief Description:  No work today

I did not get to work on the bird today. After church, I went to Bob Zahner's house and helped him install a lift in his garage. Yes, a lift, just like they have in the mechanic shops and (if you are old enough to remember) gas stations. Each of the two steel uprights weighed 900 pounds and it was a booger for Bob, Rick, David and me to lift them into place using two racheting come alongs. As soon as we had the uprights set, I had to rush home to get ready for the annual Silver Plume award banquet. Long story short, I represent the Concierge Society of Atlanta (those helpful people in upscale hotels who cater to your every whim) and they invite me each year to their toney awards banquet (the Silver Plume). It is held at a very swanky restaurant (103 West, in Buckhead) and the food is out of this world. At the end of the evening, they give everyone a gift bag with hundreds of dollars of gift cards to various restaurants and attractions around Atlanta. Miss Vick and I look forward to it every year.
