Brief Description:  Prep right tank skin

I have not felt well over the past few days and I thought about just laying around tonight. Then, I thought I would go into the shop for a half hour or so. Almost three hours later, I emerged from the shop, feeling better and having accomplished some prep work on my right tank. I am going to let the proseal on the left tank cure for another day or so before pressure testing it. In the mean time, I thought I would start on the right fuel tank.I started by unbolting the right tank from the wing, where I had drilled the spar attachment brackets. I decided that I was going to try to work a little smarter and cleaner on this tank. Before removing the ribs, I marked their position on the interior of the tank skins with a sharpie pen. This way, I can use tape to mask off the areas that will not receive proseal, making cleanup easier and making for a much cleaner installation (in theory). Next, I used the soldering iron to melt away the blue plastic covering on the exterior tank skin (for dimpling and riveting later). Finally, I deburred the 529 holes (honest, I counted them) in the tank skin. Remember, you have to deburr both sides of each hole, so that is 1,058 deburring operations on the tank skin alone (I will deburr the ribs and stiffeners later). As boring as it sounds, it is not too bad when you are in a comfortable shop with some symphony music going. In fact, it is a great stress reliever. Almost as good as lunch at Manuel's.
