Brief Description: split transition fairings and glued to wheel pants
I experimented some last night to determine if epoxy will stick to a waxed cleco - it won't.
First, I marked the wheel pant transition fairings for splitting. That went easily with a dremel and a cutting wheel. Next, I scuffed up all the areas that are going to need fiberglass work.
Next I expoxied on the transition fairings to the wheel pants. That went pretty easily.
Next I doubled up all the holes where nuplates are going with fiberglass tape. That went easily too.
Other than making a mess and using a lot of rags and acetone for cleanup, it was pretty painless.
