Brief Description:  struggled with roll bar bolts

Sometimes a little thing takes a long time.

Alligned and sized holes for roll bar bolts. This was a little time consuming but not a major headache.

I thought I would have to shim the brace to get it square with the Longerons. However, Vans did a good job on mine. The roll bar was withing 1/32 on 24" in square. you can't do much better than that! My hope is that the sliding section of the canopy cage is as close to spec as the roll bar. If it is, that would be sweet.

Getting a lock nut on the reverse side of the rear bolt was a major pain. Took almost an hour to secure two bolts. Finally able to to get the end of a box wrench over the nut and torque the bolt down.

Fit the roll bar brace to the forward deck. Used a piece of scrap as a spacer shim for the front deck sheet metal. Brace is shipped a little long. Had to trim about 1 3/8 inch off to get a nice fit.

I will drill this up and check finish dimensions tomorrow.

From there it is on to the sliding canopy.
