Brief Description:  Finishing up odds and ends

I have not been diligent enough in my logging.

Last weekend, I had family activities both days - really crimped the airplane progress.

Last weekend, I put in about 5 hours making antenna backing plates. After they were done, I was not happy with them, and reworked them all.

I also went around the airplane terminating and labeling wiring. This took a while.

I wired in the trim and PTT switches on the pilot and copilot stick controls

I had my brother in law help me and rivetied on the aft top skin. I then cleco'ed on the front top skin as well. I would have riveted this in place, but I have a few questions about the canopy and did not want to committ that far ahead

I drilled and mounted the motor mount on the firewall, torqued the bolts and set the cotter pins. After doing so, I realized that I was premature, and I had to remove the pins and re-start. OOOOOPPPPPS. I dismounted the whole thing and just finger tightened the whole thing in place.

I need to wait to do some firewall sealing before finishing the torque down.

I am pretty much finished the wiring.

On to a step I have been dreading - the canopy.
