Brief Description: main gear mounts and crotch straps
Got a good day of building in today. It was pretty hot, so I broke the work into 3 hour sessions.
Struggled with the main gear. Could not reach down inside 704 bulkhead to get screws and washers in place. Went to Home Depot and bought a long wrench set and a set of 12" needle nosed pliers - problem solved. First mount took 5 hours. Second one took about an hour and a half.
Crotch strap anchors were a major pain - not difficult, just tedious.
The next item in the instructions involves setting the wings. Given my shop size, I can't do that.
I am going to give Van's a call tomorrow and discuss an alternative order of operations for the next couple of phases.
