I am finally wrapping up the sybolts on the cowling.
I have had the cowling off and on about a hundred times, but the fit now is pretty good - w/in 1/32 inch, all the way around. Less than a 64th in most places.
I did originally overcut the lower cowling. I had to do about a 0-3/8 inch wedge of 5-ply fiberglass on three sides. But in the end, I am really happy with the way it looks.
I got all of the exterior bushings done on the lower cowling. I'll work on the upper ones tomorrow night.
I lost a couple of hours in the shop today fixing an air leak at my compressor regulator.
