Brief Description:  Close tolerance 90 degree angle drill

The latest addition to my tool collection is a United Air tool close tolerance 90 degree angle drill. I needed this drill specifically for drilling the holes where the wing ribs meet the spar. I'm sure it'll come in handy for other jobs as well. I tried a few other styles of angle drills, but none allowed me to get as close to the work as I needed to. Also, the head on this thing doesn't rotate. The rotating portion is hidden within the head. The benefit is that I don't have to worry about the rotating head brushing against the pieces being drilled and marring them up. These things go for about $200 brand new. I watched e-bay for a few weeks and managed to pick this one up for $55. It is used, and doesn't look pretty, but works just fine. It uses special 1/4" threaded drill bits. You can buy the bits in many lengths and sizes though. I bought a couple lenghts in the #20 and #30 diameter.
