Brief Description:  Control stick travel, elevator autopilot.

After setting the elevator travel per the manual, I found that the up travel is limited by the control stick hitting in the rear of the slot in the panel under your knees, while the down travel reached to within 1/4" of contacting the knobs on the Dynon screens. I didn't like how close the control handle was to the knobs, so I drilled another hole in the center part of the control yoke where the elevator pushrod is connected. I raised the hole only just enough to get a full 1/4" diameter drilled, which shortened the stroke at the handle by about 1" - Perfect!

Then I connected the elevator auto pilot servo linkage. This is based off what RANS did on the prototype. The split collar is from McMaster Carr, and the pushrod is a standard Dynon offering trimmed to length. Pushing the collar up as high as possible, and using the inner most hole on the servo arm resulted in about 50 degrees of servo travel. It is a nice clean setup, and I am happy with the outcome.

The last thing I did was set the rudder travel. For reference, using the math I learned in engineering school, I calculated that 28 +3-0 degrees will move the rearmost point of the rudder between 11 and 11.75 inches either side of center.
